Topic: Digi 9636 and Quicktime playback

I have the latest drivers for this card but am not able to playback Quicktime files without terrible "jittering".  I'm wondering it it's an ASIO/Quicktime issue.

I also have a Digi96/8 card and was wondering if that might give me better results.  My multitrack sessions work fine with the 9636.

Any suggestions would be appreciated,

QuickTime over the last few years uses WDM (not ASIO), which these old DIGI cards do not support.

Would it help to install an HDSP card?  Maybe the "fix" is to attach some speakers to the internal sound card.

Thanks for the replies,

Sure, all current RME interfaces are compatible.

That would work too.

Thanks Jeff.  For now I think I'll go the cheapo route and save my schekles for the upgrade.
