Topic: Multiface II - HDSPe - Debian

Hi,

I have an issue with my Multiface 2 and HDPS Pci Express. I've just install Debian on my computer, and made all the updates through Synaptic to get all the alsa modules I need. But the HOST led on my sound card remains red, and the HDSP Mixer won't launch.

I didn't do anything more on Debian since I've installed it than downloading Alsa related packages. The only other hardware "sound related" that's seen is the HDMI sound out from my graphic card.

I don't plan to use Debian for composing, I just want to have basic sound features on it.

Can you help me ?

Edit :

There is what I get when I launch hdspconf :

HDSPConf 1.4 - Copyright (C) 2003 Thomas Charbonnel <thomas@undata.org>
This program comes WITH ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY
HDSPConf is free software, see the file copying for details

Looking for HDSP cards :
Card 0 : HDA ATI HDMI at 0xfe9ec000 irq 19
Card 1 : RME Hammerfall DSP at 0xfe5f0000, irq 17
Uninitialized HDSP card found.
Use hdsploader to upload configuration data to the card.
No Hammerfall DSP card found.

Re: Multiface II - HDSPe - Debian

Ok, so I made it work. The folder hdsploader and the file multiface_firmware_rev11.bin were missing. It seems to work now !

If someone need it : multiface_firmware_rev11.bin

But I still can't hear a sound... I don't know what I've missed...

Re: Multiface II - HDSPe - Debian

Last post I hope... I had to change the load order of sound modules, as the HDMI was always the 0 device. You can get a lot of info on this case here
